Been gone awhile. Looks like same 'ol stuff in pittsburgh sports:
Pens keep winning, Guentzy keeps lighting up the A, and Joey Porter continues being an ass. |

That's just Peezy being Peezy. No big deal, sounded like a tiny little cop who should have just left well enough alone. |

I don't want to jump to conclusions, but this looks really bad on Porter. Love the guy but trespassing is never a good charge to acquire. It makes every other charge look way more credible. |

It's just trespassing because the bouncer told him he wasn't allowed in. Bouncers in Pittsburgh are idiots, think they are some kind of special ops side group. |

When you are told not to do something, its usually not the best idea to then do it. There is no justifying Joey Porters stupidity. It really seems like most NFL players/ex-players really just can't control the urge to make asses of themselves. |

Good to hear Fehr and Maatta stayed ib the burgh and skated all week. Shows that they both know they have to be better. Theres been a few times in my life where I stopped myself from doing something stupid at a bar because it would reflect badly on myself and the company I work for. I mean no one wants someone working in their house who is in the papers for being arrested. Funny how Porter cant sow the team that has paid him millions the same respect. I guess thats what happens when your told you can do anything your whole life as long as ur team wins. I say just shut the whole league down. |

I would assume he had to be a complete idiot to get arrested in that situation. What do you have to do to be a steelers legend and get arrested like this. |

Seriously? The tiny little cop should have just let Porter assault the door guy? That's some sound logic.

I am seeing only 1 cop arrested him. so he must have settled down. More details to follow no doubt, but seems really odd for him to get arrested like this unless he really (frank)ed someone up. |

He didn't touch him until the cop showed up according to the police report. It sounds like a putz doorman should have just let a dude in the bar, and a 5'6", 145 pound cop picked the wrong line of work. |

The report said that the lil cop followed him until backup arrived. And the report said that no one was injured.

Read it was a verbal altercation with the Doorman
"Off Duty" cop come in and sticks his nose in it and puts his hands on Porter, who then in turn grabs the wrists of the shrimpy cop and wouldn't let go
Off Duty should mean Off Duty, You put your hands on someone, its the same as anyone else who initiates contact, Shouldn't be able to be charged with assaulting a "Police Officer" unless he in a) In Uniform, or b) On Duty and announces himself as a Police Officer
Porter should charge him with assault for putting his hands on him first |

Off duty cops are the most powertrippy people on the face of the planet. I remember for one of my dorms' events at ND where we all go drunk bowling, the alley we always rented out went under new management and the new management did not trust us at all so they hired a bunch of off duty cops to run security. One of those mother (frank)ers thought I ripped a soap dispenser off the wall in the bathroom and sat me down and grilled me for 15 minutes before my rector came and took me away and told me to just go home because the off duty cops were looking for any excuse to send one of us to the slammer for the night. It was ridiculous. And also super intense. I was convinced for a second there I was going to the drunk tank for something I didn't even do because the cop was so damn sure it was. |

Which is why I give the cop's police report absolutely zero credence. |

Sounds about right.
An off duty cop that worked security at Kennywood (Pittsburgh amusement park) when I worked there as a teen came up to me and showed me his telescopic baton.
Told me he didn't care about dealing with guys who played Quad-A football, because he had his own "Quad-A," meaning his four-part baton.
Which he then told me stood for "African American Attitude Adjuster."

If it were anybody but Joey Porter I'd probably agree with you, but that clown has a long history idiocy and self control issues. I have zero doubt he was the aggressor. I also have zero doubt he threatened to kill the doorman in the past.
The larger point is he's a coach/(management) that's supposed to act as a representative of the Pittsburgh Steelers. If I'm the Rooney's I sh*t can his dumb ass asap. |

That's (frank)ed up man.
ND and the South Bend townies have a really bad relationship. The SBPD loves getting the students into poop. Some kind of sticking it to the rich kid mentality I guess. The off duty ones running security at bars I think only did the off duty work just to have more opportunities to (frank) with us. |

Officer Abel wrote that he, with help from the unidentified men, grabbed Mr. Porter by the jacket to pull him off of the doorman.
“Porter let go of Neskow dropping him back down to the ground. Porter came to rest against a car parked directly in front of the establishment
Sounds to me like Porter already had a hold of Neskow before the officer arrived or why else would he be pulling him off. I haven't personally seen the official police report yet, if someone has a link I would love to see it but every report I've ready so far has said that the officer was called to help because Porter was assaulting the doorman. |

Dude, don't you know that every single police officer is just on a super power trip? Clearly, without seeing any video or being there, we can all clearly confirm that this was a cop just looking to lock someone up for nothing to fill his ego.
Because (frank) the police, right?
Oh, and they're all racist, too. |
